I am taking a break and using this to reach way back, drill a small pilot hole, then screw in the L brackets for our new sliding shelving units I am installing. For alignment purposes (soft close, either you are dead on, or they don’t catch) I must leave the shelve attached to the L brackets and slider units and only have 8″ top clearance & must be able to reach back 22″ while laying on the floor. Considering the size of this units angle rotation head, best to keep it to small screws and drill bits. You cannot use this for heavy construction needs or large or long screws. The head is magnetic and has a catch latch that must be pulled back to release the bits. Also, the catch latch has a strong magnet providing hands free screw retention. I have bent the spline into an 1/2 circle getting into tight spots and spline is still working fine. The only two spinning parts is the head where the bit goes and the back that slips into a hex driver, saving those embarrassing tool marks often left by chuck mishaps. It comes with a small handle that threads onto either side of the angle head. The handle is hollow and has a removable cap and holds several small bits. Instead of killing myself and using a stubby and muscling in the screws after using an awl, this has made the install clean and easy. I would recommend no more than a #8 or #10 x 3/4 to an 1″ max as the head is too slender to contain beefy gears.
