CIPA 10800 Custom Towing Mirrors – Chevy/GMC/Cadillac, Pair

Overall, I have to say these are decent, not great, but decent.The good – We own a half ton (2005 Chevrolet Avalanche Z71) and needed mirrors when we bought a 24ft travel trailer. While the Avalanche mirrors do give good visibility, these mirrors allow a view back around the trailer to see traffic coming up. They are relatively easy to set up and install, so overall, it’s a good thingThe Bad – they will mar the finish on the mirrors with the wedge that tightens against the mirror to hold it in place – not a huge deal since the mirror covers are plastic, and with some preparation (painters tape?) that can be prevented – the finish is marred on my mirror now, so no use crying over it.The Ugly – they take quite a bit of fiddling to get them adjusted correctly. On the first trip with the trailer, they were essentially useless. But after many, many adjustments, we got them to where they are 100% usable and give an extremely good view behind. Essentially, we have them adjusted to see behind us replacing the view of the rearview mirror which is now blocked by the trailer.
