Igloo Compact Ice Maker – ICE108 – Silver

I researched ice makers quite a bit before purchasing. My wife wanted a ‘pellet’ ice maker like that of Sonic/QT ice. If you are looking for that type of ice, this machine will not deliver it. This ice machine makes two sizes of ‘bullet’ ice, see pic’s. From the time you fill it with water until the first batch of ice, it took 7 min, yielded ~3\4cup. Within 1 your though, we can almost fill the fridge icemaker. It becomes a novelty as well, the kiddo’s love to watch it process, than nibble on them as they kick out to the holding try. The machine is not a storage holder/cooler, as the ice melts over time. We have to move it to a gallon ziplock, freeze it, then break it up prior to placing in the ice maker. Great counter top unit, will be great for the pool house this summer, and could see how it would be bennificial for RV use, which we plan to use on our next trip.
