Girdle Bug – Black

The Girdle Bug is favored by guides across the country for rivers inhabiting stoneflies. During the spring and early summer, stonefly nymphs are in abundance and on the verge of exploding into a huge stone hatch come midsummer. This is the time to tie on these flies, especially when fishing along the banks of rivers. A pattern that can be tough to tie, getting a dozen at a wholesale price is the way to go to spend more of your time catching fishing during this impressive season. Productive when fished dead drift but also can be jigged through the water to imitate a rising stonefly nymph.
