I was bonding aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-PVC, both non-porous materials, so I did a lot of research on construction adhesives and found that most of them require at least one of the two mating materials to be porous in order to adhere properly. This one does not require that — it specifically states that it will bond two non-porous materials. Cure time to full strength will be slower though.I watched a lot of construction adhesive review materials where various presenters try to determine the relative bond strength of different brands of construction adhesive. I found most of those experiments are flawed in one way or another. For example many just wait overnight, despite the fact that this adhesive and several others can take days to reach full strength. Other videos test with some rod cantilevered out of a glob of construction adhesive, ignoring the fact that that is not how you should use construction adhesive and most applications are going to apply compression and sheer forces (not “pull-out” leverage where an object is twisted out of the joint).I think all construction adhesives are about the same strength, and if the joint coming free is a major concern, you are probably misusing construction adhesive and should consider using mechanical fasters or epoxy.
